Travel images capture the rhythm of landscapes, city streets, and fleeting human moments. From blurred figures moving through light-soaked alleys to still horizons and architectural forms, each frame suggests a narrative just beneath the surface—evoking a sense of place, emotion, and the beauty found in movement, mystery, and everyday scenes.
"Captured during a golden-hour trek on one of the Galápagos’ remote volcanic peaks, this photograph isn’t just a record—it’s an invitation. A small group of adventurers, ages 30 to 75, had just 120 minutes to make the climb, soak in the view, and descend before nightfall. It was part challenge, part meditation—an experience only made possible by the deep knowledge of a Lindblad Expeditions/National Geographic guide, and the wild, untouched rhythm of these islands.
But while most of us were catching our breath and taking in the bay below—where our ship waited quietly in the distance—one photographer was framing the story others might miss.
This image is just one of many created on that journey, where light, landscape, and human curiosity collided. It’s a perfect example of how great travel photography doesn’t just show where we go—it reminds us why we go."
